The connector includes a body having a first portion and a second portion. A central opening is provided in a body having an inner wall, the central opening configured for receiving a connecting end of a truss member. The first portion and the second portion are concentrically arranged. The first portion has a first circumferential edge section and the second portion has a second circumferential edge section. The first circumferential edge section and the second circumferential edge section are spaced apart by a gap section configured to receive a connecting flange of a support structure. The gap section is a shaped section along a virtual surface curved at least in one direction.
