The invention discloses an active underwater robot flexible docking capture system and method. The active underwater robot flexible docking capture system comprises target equipment, a docking robot and a parent body, the docking robot is used for docking and capturing the target equipment; the active underwater robot flexible docking capture system further comprises a cable, and the docking robot is connected with the parent body through the cable. When the target equipment is captured, the parent body is located underwater, the target equipment is located on the water surface, and the parent body is located below the target equipment; the parent body is provided with a cable collecting device and a buffer locking mechanism, the cable collecting device is used for driving the cable to be collected so as to drive the captured target equipment to be collected, and the buffer locking mechanism is used for buffering collision and locking the target equipment to the parent body. According to the active underwater robot flexible docking capture system and method, the target equipment can be actively retrieved, flexible docking of the target equipment is achieved, it is guaranteed that recovery is reliable, and the target equipment is not damaged.
