The invention relates to a shuttling operation control method and device for urban rail transit and a medium, and the method comprises the steps: setting a shuttling region on an ATS workstation, protecting the shuttling region through a rail-side system, and enabling an authorized train to turn back and operate at any point in the activated state shuttling region; and meanwhile, safety protection is provided for train operation and tracking in the shuttling area. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the train is authorized to turn back at any point in the specific area, the safe movement authorization for the train to return to the previous station is calculated, and therefore the urban rail transit fault handling mode is improved, and the fault recovery time is shortened.
