The invention relates to a range extender system, a torsional vibration control method of the range extender system and engineering machinery, and the range extender system comprises an engine (1) which comprises a crankshaft (10); the generator (2) comprises a rotor support (21) and a connecting shaft (22), the first end of the rotor support (21) is connected to the first end of the crankshaft (10) in the preset direction (x), the second end of the rotor support (21) is connected to the connecting shaft (22), and the power output axis of the crankshaft (10), the central axis of the rotor support (21) and the central axis of the connecting shaft (22) coincide; the sensor assembly (3) is configured to obtain torsional vibration information of the crankshaft (10) and the connecting shaft (22), and the torsional vibration information comprises at least one of angular acceleration, angular displacement and rotating speed fluctuation; and a controller assembly (4) configured to control a target torque of the generator (2) according to the torsional vibration information such that the range extender system satisfies a torsional vibration control target.
