The invention provides modified resorcinol resin as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The resorcinol resin comprises a structural unit as shown in a formula I, a structural unit as shown in a formula II and a structural unit as shown in a formula III. The problem of fuming of resorcinol resin is solved, and compared with independent modification of styrene, the adhesive force to rubber and a framework material is enhanced through composite modification.
