A system for facilitating interaction between an autonomous vehicle and an external interface proximate to the autonomous vehicle includes a plurality of external sensors positioned on the autonomous vehicle and adapted to collect data relating to an environment around the autonomous vehicle and an environment proximate to the autonomous vehicle, a controller having a wireless communication module, the wireless communication module is adapted to facilitate wireless data exchange between a controller and a remote entity, the controller being adapted to receive data collected from a plurality of external sensors and identify an interaction mode for an external interface, a microphone and a speaker, being adapted to facilitate auditory communication between the controller and the external interface, and a video display, and a controller adapted to display visual information to the external interface, where the controller is adapted to perform interaction with the external interface.
