The invention relates to vehicle lateral compensation for path deviations due to environmental forces. A number of variations are disclosed, including systems and methods that include modifying motion controller actuator commands in real time, when experiencing crosswind or other ambient forces, based on calculated offsets caused when the vehicle exceeds acceleration and rotational limits of the vehicle.
