In order to improve the analysis of participant behavior in a traffic scene, a computer-implemented method is proposed in which participants (1) are detected in a traffic scene on the basis of aggregated scene-specific information. According to the invention, at least one past trace process (12) for the participant (1) is reconstructed on the basis of the scene-specific information aggregated at the current point in time (t = 0) by generating perceived results for a sequence of past points in time (t =-3, t =-2, t =-1).
