The steering system has four steering modes: a normal driving mode, a crabbing mode, a pure hinge steering mode and a remote control mode. The normal driving mode is divided into a normal driving low-speed mode and a normal driving high-speed mode. The two working condition requirements of high-speed running and low-speed operation of the frame hinged type wheel type engineering vehicle can be met at the same time, front axle mechanical hydraulic power-assisted steering is adopted during high-speed running, a mechanical transmission mechanism is arranged between the steering wheel and the steering wheel, and the steering wheel timely and accurately responds to a steering wheel control instruction of a driver; and high-speed steering operation is stable, safe and reliable.
