The invention relates to the field of automobiles, in particular to a driving mode auxiliary switching method and device, computer equipment and a storage medium, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining vehicle map information and vehicle position information; determining a predicted road condition type of the to-be-driven road section according to the vehicle map information and the vehicle position state information; acquiring an image outside the vehicle and road condition scene data matched with the predicted road condition type; determining a target driving mode according to the vehicle exterior image and the road condition scene data; and executing an auxiliary switching measure associated with the target driving mode. The predicted road condition type of the road section to be driven is determined according to the vehicle map information and the vehicle position state information, and the target driving mode is determined according to the vehicle exterior image and the road condition scene data matched with the predicted road condition type, so that the driving mode can be matched with the driving road condition timely and accurately.
