The invention relates to the technical field of steel cord manufacturing, in particular to a flat steel wire for a tire belted layer and a preparation process thereof.The flat steel wire for the tire belted layer comprises a flat wire and an outer protection layer attached to the outer portion of the flat wire to play a protection role, and the flat wire is in a flat shape; the cross section of the flat filament is provided with two symmetrically-distributed straight edges and two outwards-protruding and symmetrically-distributed arc-shaped edges. Compared with a traditional steel monofilament, the flat steel wire provided by the invention is smaller in thickness and lighter in weight, the weight of a tire can be reduced, the endurance mileage of an electric vehicle is increased, in the preparation process, twisting is not needed, the processing cost is reduced, the processing time is saved, and the flat steel wire is suitable for a low-rolling-resistance tire reinforced belted layer and has good application prospects. The flat steel wire can replace conventional steel cords with similar breaking strength levels such as 2 * 0.28 ST, 2 * 0.28 UT, 2 * 0.30 ST, 2 * 0.30 HT and the like, and the strength of the flat steel wire is in the middle-upper level in the industry.

    本发明涉及钢帘线制造技术领域,具体为一种轮胎带束层用扁钢丝及其制备工艺,其中轮胎带束层用扁钢丝包括包括扁丝和附着在扁丝外部起到保护作用的外保护层,扁丝为扁平状,扁丝的横截面具有两个对称分布的平直缘边和两个向外凸起且对称分布的弧形缘边。本发明提供的扁钢丝相对于传统的钢单丝来说,厚度更小,重量更轻,能够降低轮胎重量,且增大电动车续航里程,且在制备过程中,无须进行捻制,降低加工成本,节省加工时间,本扁钢丝适用于低滚阻轮胎增强型带束层,可替代常规的2×0.28ST、2×0.28UT、2×0.30ST以及2×0.30HT等破断强度水平相近的钢帘线,且本扁钢丝的强度在行业中处于中上等水平。
