A railroad vehicle control system according to an embodiment includes a first acquisition unit, a second acquisition unit, a determination unit, a detection control unit, and a travel control unit. The first acquisition unit acquires image data obtained by capturing an image of the front of a railway vehicle. The second acquisition unit acquires detection object information in which a detection object is set for each location of a track on which the railway vehicle travels. The determination unit determines the current location of the railway vehicle. The detection control unit detects, from the image data, the detection object set for the location corresponding to the current location on the basis of the detection object information. The travel control unit controls the travel of the railway vehicle on the basis of the detection result of the detection control unit.
