The information monitoring module is used for performing fixed-period self-awakening after the battery management system is in a dormant state, and after self-awakening, acquiring the real-time temperature of each sub-battery module in a plurality of sub-battery modules included in the battery module and acquiring the real-time voltage of each battery cell in a plurality of battery cells included in each sub-battery module; based on the real-time voltage and the real-time temperature, preliminary analysis data for performing thermal runaway state analysis on the battery module are determined, and if the preliminary analysis data meet preset requirements, the information processing module is awakened; and the information processing module is used for determining whether the battery module is in a thermal runaway state or not based on the preliminary analysis data after being awakened.
