The invention relates to the technical field of robots, and discloses a chassis for a transfer robot and the transfer robot, the chassis comprises a base, a walking mechanism, a lifting mechanism, a supporting mechanism and a first limiting mechanism, and the walking mechanism is used for driving the chassis to walk; the lifting mechanism comprises a driving motor, a crank, a crank connecting rod and a swing arm assembly, the driving motor is arranged on the base, the crank is in transmission connection with the driving motor, and the driving motor is used for driving the crank to enable the crank connecting rod to drive the swing arm assembly to move up and down; the supporting mechanism is used for placing and supporting goods to be carried; the first limiting mechanism comprises a first sensor and a second sensor, and the first sensor and the second sensor are used for being matched with the driving motor so that the crank can rotate between the first position and the second position. The chassis aims at solving the technical problem that when a transfer robot passes through an uneven road surface, the transfer robot is likely to trigger a limiting sensor and is shut down by mistake.
