The first sensor is installed on the pedal and used for detecting the number of times of movement of the pedal in unit time and the stroke of the pedal. The second sensor is installed on the vacuum booster and used for detecting the vacuum degree of the vacuum booster. The first sensor, the second sensor and the vacuum pumps are all electrically connected with the controller, and the controller is used for controlling the first sensor to detect that the number of movement times of the pedal in unit time is smaller than or equal to a first threshold value and the stroke of the pedal is larger than or equal to a second threshold value. And when the second sensor detects that the vacuum degree of the vacuum booster is smaller than or equal to a third threshold value, the at least two vacuum pumps are controlled to be started. By means of the design, the safety performance of the brake boosting system can be greatly improved.
