The invention discloses a bistable bionic bouncing robot with high transient power and a control method thereof.The robot comprises front limb bistable drivers, front limb jumping systems, rear limb jumping systems, a main body plate and rear limb bistable drivers, the front limb jumping systems are arranged on the two sides of the main body plate, the rear limb jumping systems are arranged on the rear side of the main body plate, and the rear limb bistable drivers are arranged on the rear side of the main body plate. A forelimb bistable driver used for driving the forelimb jumping systems to jump up and down is located between the forelimb jumping systems on the two sides, and a hind limb bistable driver used for driving the hind limb jumping systems to jump up and down is located between the main body plate and the hind limb jumping systems. The air pump is used for driving the front limb bistable driver and the rear limb bistable driver in the inflation and deflation process, and therefore the front limb jumping system and the rear limb jumping system are driven to jump up and down. The robot can adjust the jumping direction and has the advantages of being high in output power, capable of jumping continuously, good in stability, simple, compact and light in structure, low in manufacturing cost, small in size, light in weight and the like.
