The invention discloses a robot control method and device, a robot and a storage medium, and belongs to the technical field of terminal control. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring a starting signal which is used for controlling limb movement of the robot; in response to the starting signal, posture information of a to-be-moved limb of the robot is obtained, and the posture information comprises joint position information and joint stress information of the to-be-moved limb; determining whether the robot is in a safe moving state according to the attitude information; and when the robot is in the safe moving state, the to-be-moved limbs are controlled to move. When the starting signal is responded, the posture information of the to-be-moved limb of the robot is obtained, whether the robot is in the safe moving state or not is determined according to the posture information, and when the robot can safely move under the situation that the posture information is applied to the robot, the to-be-moved limb is controlled to move, so that starting of the robot is controlled; dangerous conditions such as falling and inclination during starting are avoided, and the safety of the robot in the starting process is improved.
