The invention provides a new energy vehicle adaptive cruise control method and system, and the method comprises the steps: collecting the driving parameters and road condition information of a vehicle in real time, and generating a corresponding control data set according to the driving parameters and the road condition information; performing serialization processing on the control data set through a preset DTW algorithm to generate a corresponding sequence data set; and inputting the sequence data set into a preset GPT neural network to generate a corresponding adaptive cruise control model, and adjusting the driving state of the vehicle through the adaptive cruise control model. According to the method, the complex calculation process can be effectively omitted, the data processing efficiency is improved, and meanwhile, the user experience is improved.
