The invention relates to the technical field of planet vehicles, and discloses a high-trafficability four-wheel planet vehicle and a working method thereof.The high-trafficability four-wheel planet vehicle comprises a vehicle body, wheels, a driving mechanism, an in-wheel stretching rod moving mechanism, a stretching rod mechanism, an anti-roll solar wing mechanism and a measurement and control system; the four sets of wheels and driving mechanisms are symmetrically installed on the side walls of the four corners of the vehicle body. The in-wheel extension rod moving mechanisms are mounted in the vehicle body and are positioned on the inner sides of the corresponding wheels and the driving mechanisms; the extension rod mechanisms are mounted on the extension rod moving mechanisms in the corresponding wheels and extend out of the wheels; and the anti-roll solar wing mechanisms are mounted on the upper edges of the two corresponding sides, provided with the wheels, of the vehicle body. The method is suitable for detection tasks under complex and severe terrain distribution on the planet surface, and has good maneuverability, trafficability and escape ability; meanwhile, detection tasks under the conditions of extreme terrains such as large subsidence soft sand and rugged stones can be completed, and the detectable range and efficiency of the star catalogue are increased.
