The invention relates to the field of space deployable structures, and particularly discloses a high-folding-unfolding-ratio self-guiding space supporting structure which comprises a plurality of space supporting units connected in sequence and a driving part used for driving the multiple space supporting units to be compressed in the axial direction of the space supporting units. Each space supporting unit comprises a thin-wall structure with a closed section formed by connecting a plurality of supporting plates end to end, the supporting plates can be folded along the center lines of the supporting plates, and the thin-wall structures can be compressed in the axial direction of the supporting plates. Each supporting plate is provided with two broken line groove sets, the broken line groove sets obliquely extend from the vertexes of the supporting plates to the center line direction, and a plurality of rib plates are fixedly arranged on the inner sides of the supporting plates and located on the side edges of the corresponding broken line grooves. A triangular groove is formed in the edge of the supporting plate, and one vertex of the triangular groove is located on the center line of the supporting plate. Convenient compression and extension of the space supporting structure can be achieved, the driving mode is simple, stable and reliable, and the cost is low.
