The invention relates to an unfolding mechanism with linear and rotary two degrees of freedom. The unfolding mechanism comprises a base, an opening and closing assembly nested in the base and capable of sliding, and a linear motion driving part used for providing linear driving for the opening and closing assembly. The base comprises a hollow cylinder with one end open and the other end closed, and an annular limiting plate connected with the open end of the hollow cylinder; a limiting protrusion is arranged on the inner side face of the annular limiting plate. A first sliding limiting groove matched with the limiting protrusion is formed in the side face of the opening and closing assembly, and the bottom end of the first sliding limiting groove is closed. The linear motion driving part is used for driving the opening and closing assembly to stretch out in the linear direction till the bottom end of the first sliding limiting groove abuts against the limiting protrusion, and the opening and closing assembly is rotationally unfolded in the axial direction. The mechanism can be used for unfolding a structure on an aerospace craft, linear motion and rotary motion can be completed in sequence through one-time unlocking, motion locking is achieved, and the requirement for two-degree-of-freedom motion and locking can be met at the same time through one-time unlocking.
