When an operation by which the driver accelerates the vehicle and the grip are detected during automatic driving, the acceleration is limited so that the acceleration of the vehicle becomes equal to or less than a predetermined acceleration upper limit value, and the vehicle is accelerated in accordance with the operation for accelerating the vehicle. The acceleration upper limit value is increased in accordance with the elapse of the time from the detection of the operation to accelerate the vehicle and the grip.
