The invention relates to a cable-free underwater robot, a robot system and a control method of the robot system. The robot comprises a camera used for monitoring the environment condition of the current underwater position where the robot is located in real time; the positioning system is used for acquiring underwater motion data of the robot in real time; the early warning system is used for judging the safety level of the underwater position of the robot; the antenna is used for transmitting signals of environment conditions, motion data and safety levels and receiving instructions for controlling the robot; and a console for receiving and transmitting information and instructions. Accurate positioning of the underwater robot is achieved, manual monitoring cost is reduced, and it is guaranteed that possible risks are avoided in the detection process of the robot.
