The variable-configuration thermal insulation composite material has the characteristics of small folding-unfolding ratio, high strength, low thermal conductivity and the like, can realize stable thermal insulation at-200 to 1500 DEG C, can be preheated to be automatically unfolded when a spacecraft reenters, has the dual-function characteristics of thermal insulation and speed reduction after being unfolded, has no damage to the performance in the variable-configuration process, and is suitable for large-scale popularization and application. The method can be widely applied to the fields of deep space exploration, manned aerospace and the like.
