The invention discloses a composite braking distribution method and device for a multi-axle commercial vehicle. According to the method, kinetic analysis is carried out, and the whole vehicle demand braking torque and the single-shaft demand braking torque are determined. And according to the driving behavior data, a required braking mode is determined. And under the condition of hydraulic braking, the braking torque supplied to each shaft by the hydraulic system is distributed according to the single-shaft required braking torque. And under the condition of composite braking, the maximum regenerative braking torque capable of being provided by the motor is determined according to the distribution characteristics of the mechanical efficiency of the motor and the charging efficiency of the battery. And according to the relative relation between the maximum regenerative braking torque and the whole vehicle required braking torque, the compensation braking torque provided by a hydraulic system and the regenerative braking torque provided by a motor under the condition that the required braking mode is composite braking are determined. And according to the single-shaft demand braking torque, the regenerative braking torque and the compensation braking torque, the braking torque supplied to each shaft by the hydraulic system and the motor is distributed. According to the scheme, the braking safety is guaranteed, and the braking effect is improved.
