The invention discloses a control system for adjusting the following distance of a vehicle. The control system comprises a vehicle type recognition device, a vehicle-following distance adjustment device and a vehicle-following distance adjustment device, the vehicle detection unit is used for detecting weight and driving speed data of a vehicle; the road condition detection unit is used for detecting humidity and gradient data of a vehicle driving road condition; and the control unit is used for setting an initial vehicle following distance according to the type of the vehicle, and adjusting and correcting the actual vehicle following distance of the running vehicle in real time according to the weight and running speed data of the vehicle and the humidity and gradient data of the running road condition of the vehicle. According to the method, different initial vehicle following distances are set for different vehicle types, and the vehicle parameters and the vehicle driving road condition parameters are combined in the driving process to regulate and control the actual vehicle following distance of the vehicle in real time, so that the different types of vehicles have proper vehicle following distances in the driving process; collision caused by improper car following distance in the car following process of the car is reduced, and car following safety of the car is improved.

    本发明公开了一种用于调整车辆跟车距离的控制系统,其包括:车型识别装置用于识别车辆的类型;车辆检测单元用于检测车辆的重量、行驶速度数据;路况检测单元用于检测车辆行驶路况的湿度、坡度数据;控制单元用于根据车辆的类型设定初始跟车距离,并根据车辆的重量、行驶速度数据以及车辆行驶路况的湿度、坡度数据对行驶中的车辆的实际跟车距离进行实时的调节和修正。本发明通过对不同车辆类型的设定不同的初始跟车距离,并在行驶过程中将车辆自身参数以及车辆行驶路况参数相结合起来以实时调控车辆的实际跟车距离,使不同类型的车辆在行驶过程中有合适的跟车距离,减少了车辆在跟车过程中因为跟车距离不合适而发生碰撞,提高了车辆跟车的安全性。
