The embodiment of the invention discloses a vehicle electric power steering control method and device, electronic equipment and a storage medium. The method comprises the following steps: determining a component type of a target component in a target vehicle; wherein the target component is used for representing a component with abnormal steering of the target vehicle, and the component type comprises a redundant component and a non-redundant component; according to the component type of the target component, a target electric power steering control mode matched with the component type is determined from candidate electric power steering control modes; and performing electric power steering control on the target vehicle through the target electric power steering control mode. By the adoption of the scheme, the electric power steering system comprises the redundant components and the non-redundant components, and the manufacturing cost of the whole vehicle is effectively reduced through the arrangement of the non-redundant components. Different electric power steering control modes are adopted according to the component types of the target components, so that the wheels generate different wheel speeds to realize differential steering, and the probability of traffic accidents is reduced.
