The method comprises the following steps: inputting a target location to be subjected to preset road traffic event occurrence probability evaluation; dividing time slices for the target location; obtaining target road traffic data corresponding to the target time slice; using the first time as a time window and the first frequency as the updating frequency of the time window, inputting the target road traffic data corresponding to the target space-time slice into a first neural network model for processing, and outputting a road segment risk prediction value sequence of the target road; inputting the road segment risk prediction value sequence of the target road and the road network topology data of the target location into a second neural network model, wherein the second neural network model is used for evaluating the occurrence probability of the traffic event; and generating the traffic event occurrence probability of the preset road. The method can be applied to the traffic field, the occurrence of the traffic event is rapidly and accurately detected, and the probability of false alarm and missing alarm of the traffic event is reduced.
