The invention relates to a remote operation system and a remote operation control method. The remote operation system controls remote operation of the moving body by a remote operator. When the communication quality of the communication performed by the mobile body is equal to or greater than a threshold value, the remote operation system presents a first image captured by a first camera mounted on the mobile body to a remote operator. On the other hand, when the communication quality is lower than the threshold value, the remote operation system uses an alternative camera provided to an object different from the moving object. In detail, the remote control system selects, as a second camera, an alternative camera capable of capturing an image of the moving body and the surroundings thereof, on the basis of the position and direction of travel of the moving body and the position and field of view of the alternative camera. The remote operation system presents a second image captured by the second camera to the remote operator. Thus, a technique is provided by which a remote operator can continue remote operation of a moving body as much as possible even if the communication quality of communication performed by the moving body is reduced.

    本公开涉及远程操作系统及远程操作控制方法。远程操作系统控制远程操作员对移动体的远程操作。在移动体进行的通信的通信质量在阈值以上的情况下,远程操作系统将由搭载于移动体的第1摄像头拍摄的第1图像提示给远程操作员。另一方面,在通信质量低于阈值的情况下,远程操作系统利用设置于与移动体不同的物体的代替摄像头。详细而言,远程操作系统基于移动体的位置和行进方向及代替摄像头的位置和视野,选择能够拍摄移动体及其周围的代替摄像头作为第2摄像头。而且,远程操作系统将由第2摄像头拍摄的第2图像提示给远程操作员。从而提供即使在移动体进行的通信的通信质量下降的情况下远程操作员也能够尽可能地继续进行移动体的远程操作的技术。
