Comprising the steps that a server obtains contour information of an obstacle expected to collide with a first vehicle; under the condition that the obstacle is determined to be a second vehicle based on the contour information, determining a collision state of the first vehicle and the second vehicle based on backward driving information of the first vehicle, and screening a collision prompt strategy according to the collision state, the collision prompting strategy is used for representing a method for indicating the second vehicle to carry out collision prompting; and sending the collision prompt strategy to the second vehicle, so that the second vehicle performs collision avoidance prompt operation according to the collision prompt strategy. The method is mainly used for avoiding vehicle collision.
