The invention relates to the field of automatic driving control, and discloses a hardware testing method, device and equipment for an automatic driving vehicle and a storage medium. The method comprises the steps that when it is detected that a current driving environment is a hardware-in-the-loop testing environment, real positioning information of an automatic driving vehicle is isolated; based on a preset virtual test environment, virtual coordinate information of a hardware-in-the-loop test environment where the autonomous vehicle is located is constructed; and starting an automatic driving mode of the automatic driving vehicle based on the virtual coordinate information, and executing a hardware-in-the-loop test on the automatic driving vehicle in the automatic driving mode. According to the invention, the automatic driving system is quickly started in the hardware-in-the-loop test of the automatic driving vehicle, and the test range of the hardware load condition of the automatic driving vehicle is expanded.
