The invention discloses a forklift energy-saving operation monitoring method and system. The method comprises the steps that a driving motor signal and/or a pedal signal are/is obtained; the driving motor signal comprises one or more of the current rotating speed of a driving motor, the current torque of the driving motor and the angular speed of the driving motor; the pedal signal comprises an accelerator pedal switching signal and/or a brake pedal switching signal; based on the driving motor signal and/or the pedal signal, the working state of the forklift is obtained, and a driver is prompted according to the working state; the working state comprises a high-energy-consumption working state, a low-efficiency working state, a low-energy recovery state or a high-energy recovery state. According to the invention, the working state of the forklift can be notified to a driver, and the resistance self-inspection of the driving system can be carried out to prompt the driver to carry out standard energy-saving operation, driving system maintenance and the like, so that the working life, the endurance mileage and the energy utilization rate of the forklift are improved.
