The invention discloses an electric drive braking method, which is applied to the technical field of engineering, and comprises the following steps: when a parking instruction is received, controlling each group of electric drive to carry out first braking after each group of electric drive meets a braking condition; when it is detected that at least a preset number of electric drives successfully conduct first braking, first preset time is delayed, and all the electric drives are controlled to conduct second braking; when the preset condition is met, delaying second preset time to control all electric drives to perform third braking; wherein the preset condition is when it is detected that the walking rotating speed request is zero and the action enabling is zero or when a fault alarm is detected; according to the method, each group of electric drive is controlled to brake after respectively meeting the braking condition, so that the problem of unpowered vehicle sliding or sideslip caused by the fact that the braking condition cannot be met at the same time but the power output is reduced to zero since all electric drives need to simultaneously meet the braking condition to brake in the related technology is avoided.
