The invention relates to the technical field of battery thermal runaway, in particular to a thermal runaway detection method and device of a power battery, a vehicle and a storage medium, the power battery comprises a master chip and first to Nth slave chips, and the method comprises the following steps: acquiring single voltage of the power battery acquired by each slave chip in the first to Nth slave chips; if it is recognized that the single voltage collected by any slave chip is the preset voltage, reset signals are sent to a target slave chip from the forward communication end and the reverse communication end respectively, so that the target slave chip is reset according to a reset instruction; after the target slave chip is reset, if the single voltage collected by the target slave chip is still the preset voltage, it is judged that the power battery has a thermal runaway fault, and a preset thermal runaway reminding action is triggered. Therefore, the problems of inaccurate signal transmission, high possibility of false triggering of thermal runaway early warning, poor thermal runaway detection accuracy and driving safety, poor user experience and the like caused by over-high battery temperature or system failure in the related technology are solved.
