According to one specific implementation scheme, when the running speed of a vehicle is not larger than a preset speed, obstacle detection is conducted on the periphery of the vehicle through a visual sensor and an ultrasonic radar which are distributed on the vehicle, and a first detection result and a second detection result are obtained; in response to the first detection result and the second detection result, the detected obstacle is located in the driving direction of the vehicle and is about to collide with the vehicle, and the vehicle is controlled to be braked.
