The invention relates to the field of ship manufacturing tools, in particular to an adjustable supporting device for ship stern tube bearing installation and a using method. The device comprises a telescopic supporting rod, a middle body, long screws and a threaded transmission mechanism, wherein a middle supporting part is arranged on the upper portion of the middle body, and a middle sleeve is arranged on the lower portion of the middle body; the telescopic supporting rod penetrates through a middle sleeve on the lower portion of the middle body, and the middle body is located in the middle of the telescopic supporting rod; and the threaded transmission mechanism is installed on the lower portion of the middle body, the long screws are symmetrically arranged on the two sides of the threaded transmission mechanism in a back-to-back mode, the head ends of the long screws are fixedly arranged on the lower portion of one end of the telescopic supporting rod, and the tail ends of the long screws are in threaded fit transmission with the threaded transmission mechanism. The adjustable supporting device and the using method are novel in structural design, low in manufacturing cost, convenient to carry and operate, wide in application range and capable of accurately supporting a long screw rod to the center position of a tail shaft tube, and effectively improve the construction convenience and safety.
