The device comprises a protective frame, a rotating shaft is arranged on one side of one cushion disc in a penetrating mode, a first motor is fixedly arranged at one end of the rotating shaft, a supporting shaft is fixedly arranged at the other end of the rotating shaft, a groove is formed in the middle of one end of the supporting shaft, supporting sleeves are rotationally arranged in the middles of the two sides of the inner wall of the groove correspondingly, and a mechanical arm is fixedly arranged at the output end of the first electric telescopic rod. According to the mechanical grabbing device for the underwater robot, the orientation position of the whole grabbing structure can be changed by starting a first motor, then a second motor is started, a mechanical arm can stretch through rotation between a supporting sleeve and a groove, and therefore the grabbing area of the mechanical arm can face a grabbed substance; and the distance can be adjusted by starting the first electric telescopic rod to get close to the substance for grabbing, the grabbing precision is improved, and therefore the practicability of the device is improved.
