In this case, the method for navigating an autonomous vehicle comprises the steps of receiving (S4) sensor information from a sensor system fitted to the vehicle, receiving (S5) object information from a management system which stores information relating to objects in an operating area of the autonomous vehicle, and determining (S6) the position of the autonomous vehicle on the basis of the sensor information and the object information.
