The invention relates to a bidirectional wireless power transmission system and method based on an electric automobile, the system comprises an automobile charging device and a vehicle-mounted power storage device, the vehicle-mounted power storage device is carried on the electric automobile, and the automobile charging device comprises a primary side power electronic converter and a transmitting coil. One end of the primary side power electronic converter is connected with an external power grid, the other end of the primary side power electronic converter is connected with the transmitting coil, the vehicle-mounted electrical storage device comprises a receiving coil, a secondary side power electronic converter and a vehicle battery load, one end of the secondary side power electronic converter is connected with the receiving coil, and the other end of the secondary side power electronic converter is connected with the vehicle battery load. When in use, the vehicle-mounted electrical storage device is adjacent to an automobile charging device, so that the transmitting coil is adjacent to the receiving coil. Compared with the prior art, the method has the advantages that the automobile battery load can be effectively charged, and peak regulation and compensation can be carried out on the power grid.
