The elevator comprises a shaft, a lift car is arranged in the shaft, a counterweight is arranged on one side of the lift car, three first movable pulley blocks are arranged on the lift car, three second movable pulley blocks are arranged on the top of the counterweight, three first fixed pulley blocks are arranged on the top of the shaft, three second fixed pulley blocks are arranged on the top of the shaft, a traction machine is arranged at the bottom of the shaft, a traction wheel is arranged on the traction machine, a third fixed pulley block is arranged on one side of the traction wheel, a fourth fixed pulley block is arranged on the other side of the traction wheel, a traction rope is arranged on the traction wheel, one end of the traction rope penetrates through and bypasses the third fixed pulley block and then bypasses the first fixed pulley blocks and the first movable pulley blocks alternately, the other end of the traction rope is wound around the fourth fixed pulley block and then alternately wound around the second fixed pulley blocks and the second movable pulley blocks, and the two ends of the traction rope are fixed to the top of the shaft through rope hitch plates. The elevator has the advantages of being large in load capacity, easy to install and maintain and not prone to causing safety accidents.
