The method comprises the steps that the robot is controlled to move into an elevator car when an elevator door is opened; when the robot enters the elevator car, the robot is controlled to stop in a preset stop area in the elevator car; and when the robot reaches a target floor, the robot is controlled to leave the stop area and drive out of an elevator, wherein the stop area is located on the central axis of the bottom of the elevator car, the distance between the stop area and the elevator door is within a preset distance range, and the central axis passes through the center of the bottom of the elevator door. According to the robot control method and system, the robot and the program product, after the robot reaches the target floor, the situation that people affect the robot to get out of the elevator and other people to take the elevator is avoided.
