The invention discloses an electric forklift energy-saving driving assisting system and a control method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of electric forklift energy saving. The electric forklift energy-saving driving assisting system comprises an electronic control unit, a motor used for controlling a forklift to advance and retreat, a storage battery used for providing power, a motorcontroller used for controlling the rotating speed of the motor, a rotating speed sensor used for detecting the rotating speed of the motor, and a forklift speed sensor used for detecting the forkliftspeed. The output end of the electronic control unit is connected with the input end of the motor controller. The output end of the motor controller is connected with the input end of the motor. Theelectric energy output end of the storage battery is connected with the motor controller and the electronic control unit. The output end of the rotating speed sensor and the output end of the forkliftspeed sensor are connected with the input end of the electronic control unit. The output end of the motor is connected with the input end of a forklift wheel. The electric forklift energy-saving driving assisting system has the beneficial effects that the operation condition of an electric forklift is recognized through the sensors, the braking energy and potential energy of the electric forkliftare recycled and converted into electric energy to be stored in the storage battery, and the energy utilization rate is increased.
