The invention relates to a pole-climbing robot. Specifically, at least one of the walking units of the pole-climbing robot further comprises a steering motor which is in transmission connection with awheel carrier to drive the wheel carrier to steer and a main driving motor which is in transmission connection with walking wheels to drive the walking wheels to rotate. Auxiliary connecting components are connected between every two adjacent walking units, the walking units and the auxiliary connecting components jointly form a frame-shaped surrounding structure, and a channel allowing a pole body to penetrate through is formed in the surrounding structure; a permanent magnet block is arranged on each walking unit and generates magnetic attraction force with the pole body during use; at least part of the auxiliary connecting structures are telescopic connecting structures capable of freely stretching out and drawing back, when the walking wheels deflect, the magnetic attraction acting force between the permanent magnet blocks and the pole body can keep the walking units tightly attached to the pole body, friction force between the walking wheels and the pole body is guaranteed, and therefore the bearing capacity and the driving stability of the robot are guaranteed.
