The invention provides an automatic steel coil finding and transverse centering method for an electromagnetic chuck of a full-automatic unmanned crane. The method comprises the following steps of adjusting the initial position of a sliding table, and lowering the electromagnetic chuck; recording the actual position of the sliding table; calculating the moving distance of the sliding table; calculating a deviation value; and adjusting the electromagnetic chuck.
