The method comprises the steps of obtaining the total load power of the traction power supply system, if the total load power is larger than a first preset power threshold value, sending a first control signal to the railway power regulator, so that the hybrid energy storage device provides energy for the load of the traction power supply system, and if the total load power is smaller than a second preset power threshold value, sending a second control signal to the railway power regulator, so that the load braking energy of the traction power supply system is released to the hybrid energy storagedevice. By means of the scheme, the problems that a traction power supply system is poor in electric energy quality and regenerative braking energy is wasted can be solved.
