The invention provides a liquid metal intelligent hydrogel bionic peristaltic robot with a double-layer structure. The robot comprises a hydrogel matrix and liquid metal, and temperature-sensitive hydrogel with different response temperatures is arranged in a staggered mode to form the hydrogel matrix of the double-layer structure. The hydrogel matrix is internally provided with channels, the channels sequentially penetrate through the temperature-sensitive hydrogel with different response temperatures, the channels are filled with liquid metal, and periodic deformation of the hydrogel matrixis generated by applying periodic electric signals to the liquid metal. The temperature-sensitive hydrogel is controlled to generate expected response by utilizing the temperature generated when the current passes through the liquid metal, so that the bionic peristaltic motion of the liquid metal temperature-controlled hydrogel soft robot is realized.
