A balancer comprises a hollow cylinder, a displacement shaft, two adjusting rings, two pressing and abutting ring sets, two springs and two leakage stopping units. A hollow cylinder external thread is formed at each of the two ends of the hollow cylinder. The displacement shaft penetrates the hollow cylinder and performs reciprocating axial displacement in the hollow cylinder. The displacement shaft is provided with a plug sleeve connected to the inner wall face of the hollow cylinder in an abutting manner and displacement shaft external threads located on the peripheral faces of the two ends. The plug sleeve is provided with a through hole penetrating the two ends. An adjusting ring internal thread is formed on each adjusting ring. The adjusting ring internal threads are in screw joint with the hollow cylinder external threads of the hollow cylinder. The pressing and abutting rings are in screw joint with the displacement shaft external threads correspondingly. The springs are arranged on the displacement shaft in a sleeving manner and are abutted between the adjusting rings and the pressing and abutting rings correspondingly. The leakage stopping units are connected to the interior parts of the two ends of the hollow cylinder correspondingly in a plugging manner so that fluid in the hollow cylinder can be prevented from leaking outwards. The balancer can generate an opposite acting force so that the balance of a body can be maintained, and not only can the stability be improved in the operating and controlling process, but also the safety is improved in the advancing process.
