The invention discloses a regenerative brake hydraulic valve and a brake method thereof. The regenerative brake hydraulic valve comprises a valve body, a main valve element, an adjusting assembly and a first elastic piece. A valve cavity is formed in the valve body. The valve body is provided with an inlet and an outlet which communicate with the valve cavity. The main valve element is arranged in the valve cavity. The main valve element moves in the valve cavity in the braking process so as to open or close the inlet and/or the outlet. The adjusting assembly is arranged at the end, away from the inlet, of the valve cavity to limit the movement stroke of the valve element in the valve cavity and is connected with the main valve element to assist in communication of the inlet and the outlet. One end of the first elastic piece abuts against the main valve element, the other end of the first elastic piece abuts against the adjusting assembly, and the main valve element is reset after braking is finished. By means of the regenerative brake hydraulic valve, the pipe pressure can be lowered greatly under the condition that the stroke of a brake pedal is not changed, and superposed brake force is lowered, so that the brake performance and brake feeling are better.
