The invention discloses a headrest adjusting structure capable of preventing a whiplash injury of a passenger. The headrest adjusting structure comprises a cylinder, a control module and a frame; the frame is fixed within the headrest; an output end of the cylinder is connected with one end of an adjusting rod and the other end of the adjusting rod is connected with a head plate; the adjusting rod is mounted on an end portion of the cylinder; a coaxial fixed block is mounted on the adjusting rod; two connecting rods B are symmetrically arranged in an axis of the adjusting rod on an end face of one side, directly facing the head plate, of the fixed block; the free ends of the connecting rods B are hinged to one end of a connecting rod A and a connecting rod C, respectively; the other end of the connecting rod A is hinged to the bottom of the head plate, while the other end of the connecting rod C is hinged to a sidewall of the frame. When a distance of a vehicle behind the present automobile to the present automobile is within a safe value range, the control module directly controls the cylinder to retract and the adjusting rod drives the head plate to move backwards so that the head of a passenger and a supporting portion of the head rest return, and therefore, no manual operation is required, synchronization of headrest protection and an automobile safety system is realized; furthermore, a reliability coefficient of automobile driving safety is enhanced.
