The invention discloses a stroke-reduction one-way automatic sliding-preventing speed limiting system. An encoder is installed on a main shaft of a speed limiter. A rope wheel is assembled on the main shaft. A pawl is rotationally assembled on one side of the wheel face of the rope wheel. A pawl torsional spring for the pawl to turn towards a ratchet wheel to be matched with a clamping groove of the ratchet wheel is arranged between the pawl and the rope wheel. A pawl positioning structure is rotationally assembled on the wheel face of the rope wheel. A disc is coaxially and fixedly arranged on the wheel face, far away from gravity hammers, of the ratchet wheel. Self-reset switches are distributed on the outer edge part of the disc and located on the circumference of one concentric circle of the disc. Levers of the self-reset switches extend inwards, and the free ends of the levers are located on the circumferences of a set of concentric circles of the disc respectively. The gravity hammers are sequentially in contact with the self-reset switches in the opening process. The purpose of adopting a higher-speed elevator can be achieved without additionally adding elevator top space or bottom space for corresponding buildings and under the situation that the cost of a buffer does not need to be increased.
